Festival Benefit Recital

Thank you for joining us in celebrating the return of beautiful choral music presented by two of Birmingham’s favorite singers, Sadie Goodman and Zachary Palamara in a benefit recital for the Over the Mountain Festival of Sacred Music. This special event was held Sunday, August 29 at 4:00 p.m. hosted by Trinity United Methodist Church in Homewood, Alabama.

Presented were selections from a delightful program first given in January, 2020 including works by Fauré, Schumann, Mendelssohn, Britten, Dvorák, Strauss, and others along with some musical theatre pieces.

Accompanying Sadie and Zach were Cindy St. Clair, piano and Caroline Nordlund, violin.

Over The Mountain Festivals is a community choral group that exists to foster and perpetuate the singing of sacred choral music and provide training and encouragement to directors of small choirs and choristers, both adults and children, to the glory of God, the edification of participants and the enjoyment of the greater Birmingham, Alabama community and beyond.

All of our Over the Mountain Festival concerts are presented free of charge, as our singers perform because of their love of sacred choral music. It’s been our privilege to be accompanied by some of Alabama’s finest professional, world-class clinicians, accompanists, and orchestral musicians.

Thank you again for joining us for this happy Sunday afternoon of music!
